Franke is one of the UK’s most recognised kitchen sink brands, offering composite granite, ceramic and stainless steel sinks across a wide price range. Franke composite sinks — made from their Fragranite material — are among the most popular kitchen sinks in the UK and are repairable when chipped or cracked.
Franke Fragranite Sink Repair
Fragranite is Franke’s composite granite material, comprising 80% granite particles in a resin binder. It is available in a range of colours including Onyx (black), Polar White, Fragranite Oyster, Fragranite Umbra and more.
Chips in Fragranite sinks are filled with colour-matched compound, shaped and polished to blend with the surrounding surface. On plain colours the repair is typically invisible. On textured or mottled finishes results are very good.
Franke Ceramic Sink Repair
Franke’s ceramic sinks, including their Belfast and farmhouse-style sinks, are repairable when chipped. Ceramic is a harder material and the repair requires specialist compounds, but excellent results are achievable on most standard ceramic colours.
Common Franke Sink Damage
Impact chips — from dropped pans, utensils or cleaning products landing on the sink.
Tap hole damage — chips around the tap holes during installation or maintenance.
Undermount seal failure — where the sealant around an undermount Franke sink has failed, we can re-seal as well as repair any chip damage.
Cost
A single Franke sink chip repair typically costs £85–£175. Send us photos for a fixed price.
