New appliance delivery and installation is one of the most common causes of kitchen and floor surface damage. Washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators and range cookers are heavy, awkward to manoeuvre and regularly cause chips, scratches and impact damage to worktops, floor tiles and cabinet finishes.

Common Appliance Delivery Damage

Who Is Responsible?

If the delivery company or installer caused the damage, they are liable. Document the damage immediately with photographs before the delivery team leaves, and report it to the company in writing. Most reputable appliance retailers and installation companies will cover the cost of professional repair.
