Sparkle quartz worktops — containing glass crystal or mirror aggregate that creates a glittering effect — are one of the more challenging quartz types to repair. The reflective particles need to be replicated in the repair compound as well as the base colour. An experienced technician with specialist aggregate materials can achieve excellent results on most sparkle designs.
What Is Sparkle Quartz?
Sparkle or glitter quartz is engineered quartz that contains small particles of glass, mirror or metallic aggregate that catch the light and create a sparkling effect. Popular brands producing sparkle designs include Silestone (their Stellar collection), Caesarstone, Quartz Master and many own-brand kitchen retailer ranges.
Repairing Sparkle Quartz
The repair process for sparkle quartz involves matching both the base colour and the aggregate particle size and distribution. Our technicians carry a range of glass and metallic aggregate sizes that can be mixed into the repair compound to replicate the sparkle effect.
Results on sparkle quartz are very good on standard particle sizes. Extra-large mirror aggregate designs are more challenging but still achievable.
Cost
Sparkle quartz chip repair typically costs £95–£250 depending on the complexity of the aggregate matching. Send us photos for a fixed price.
