Steel and aluminium cladding panels are factory-coated with polyester powder or PVDF coatings that provide protection and colour. Over time, these coatings fade, chalk and deteriorate — but the underlying panels are typically sound. On-site cladding respraying restores appearance and protection at a fraction of the cost of cladding replacement.
Why Respray Rather Than Replace?
Cladding replacement is a major undertaking — scaffolding, panel removal, disposal, supply of new panels and reinstallation. For a typical commercial building, the cost runs to hundreds of thousands of pounds and significant programme time.
On-site spraying requires access equipment (scaffold or MEWP), surface preparation and the application of a high-performance coating. The cost is typically 15–25% of replacement.
What We Apply
We apply high-performance two-pack polyurethane and epoxy-modified coatings suitable for external steel and aluminium cladding. All coatings are UV-stable, flexible and provide corrosion protection. We can match the original coating colour or apply a new colour to your specification.
Cut Edge Corrosion Treatment
Cut edge corrosion — rust developing at the cut edges of profiled steel cladding sheets — is one of the most common cladding maintenance issues. We carry out specialist cut edge corrosion treatment including rust inhibitor application and edge sealing before overcoating.
