- [ ] Splashback tiles — chips and cracks noted.
- [ ] Floor — scratches and chips noted, particularly near dishwasher and fridge positions.
Bathrooms
- [ ] Bath — full inspection of rim, floor of bath, and side panel. Chips, cracks and scratches noted.
- [ ] Shower tray — chips and cracks checked.
- [ ] Wall tiles — full inspection. Chips, cracks and drilled holes noted.
- [ ] Floor tiles — chips and cracks noted.
- [ ] Basin — rim and bowl inspected.
- [ ] Mastic — condition noted. Black or failing mastic should be replaced.
Throughout the Property
- [ ] Doors — composite external doors and internal doors checked for chips and scratches.
- [ ] uPVC windows and frames — chips and scratches noted.
- [ ] Hard floors throughout — systematic inspection for scratches and chips.
Documentation
Photograph every item of damage against a ruler for scale. Compare against the check-in inventory. All items not present at check-in are chargeable damage.
