Yes — a chipped composite granite sink can be repaired professionally, on-site, to an invisible or near-invisible standard in the vast majority of cases.

Why Composite Sinks Chip

Composite granite sinks are made from granite or quartz particles bound in a resin matrix. Despite their durability, the resin matrix can fracture under sharp impact — particularly at the rim and around tap holes, which are the most vulnerable points.

The Repair Process

Preparation — the chipped area is cleaned and any loose material removed.
Colour matching — the technician selects and mixes a compound matching the colour of the specific sink. Composite sink colours from major brands are well-documented and most are in our colour library.
Application — the compound is applied in layers, building up to the correct height.
Shaping — once cured, the repair is shaped flush with the surrounding surface.
Polishing — the repair is polished to match the texture and sheen of the surrounding material.

What Results to Expect

On plain composite colours — black, white, anthracite, grey — results are typically invisible at normal viewing distance. On textured or mottled finishes, results are very good.

Cost

A single composite sink chip repair: £85–£175. This compares to £150–£600 for a new composite sink plus fitting. Send photos for a fixed price.
