Yes — a composite door can be resprayed to change its colour or to refresh a faded finish. On-site composite door respraying is significantly cheaper than replacement and gives a factory-quality finish in your chosen colour.
Why Composite Doors Fade
The GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) skin of a composite door is painted in the factory. Over time, UV exposure causes the paint to fade — particularly on south and west-facing doors that receive direct afternoon sunlight. Red and dark green doors are most susceptible to fading.
The Respraying Process
The door is masked in place and the existing finish is cleaned, degreased and lightly abraded. A specialist flexible primer is applied, followed by two coats of the chosen colour using professional HVLP spray equipment. The result is a factory-quality finish that is durable and UV-stable.

- RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey — the most popular door colour in the UK
