Kitchen surfaces sustain more damage than any other room in the house. A regular inspection allows early repair before damage worsens.

- [ ] Check seams between worktop sections — are they sealed?
Sink
- [ ] Check the rim all the way around for chips
- [ ] Check around tap holes
- [ ] Check the base of the bowl
Kitchen Cabinets
- [ ] Check all door fronts and drawer fronts for chips, scratches and peeling
- [ ] Check handles are secure
Flooring
- [ ] Check all floor areas for scratches and chips, particularly in front of the cooker and sink
- [ ] Check grout in tiled kitchen floors
Tiles and Splashbacks
- [ ] Check all splashback tiles for chips and cracks
- [ ] Check grout condition
When to Repair
Address damage promptly — particularly around the sink where water can get into an unrepaired chip in a composite worktop or laminate edge, causing it to swell.
