Hi-Macs is LG’s solid surface material — an acrylic-based composite similar to Corian, available in a wide range of colours and used for worktops, wall cladding, reception desks, shopfitting and bespoke furniture. One of its key advantages is repairability — solid surface materials can be sanded and polished to remove scratches and minor damage.

Why Hi-Macs Is One of the Most Repairable Surfaces

Unlike stone or quartz, solid surface materials like Hi-Macs are homogeneous — the colour and composition run all the way through the material. This means surface damage can be sanded out rather than filled. For deeper chips that cannot be fully sanded, colour-matched compounds are applied and then blended by sanding and polishing to a seamless result.
