One of the most common questions we receive is: how is surface repair priced? Unlike many trades, we give fixed prices based on photos before attending — no call-out fee, no surprise invoices. Here is how we arrive at those prices.
The Factors That Affect Price
Material — different surface materials require different repair compounds and techniques. Granite and quartz repairs use specialist resin compounds. Enamel repair uses different materials. LVT requires yet another approach. More specialist materials generally cost slightly more.
Size of the damage — a 5mm chip in a worktop takes less time and material than a 30mm gouge. Price reflects the size and complexity of the damage.
Number of repairs — we charge for the first repair and add a reduced rate for additional repairs on the same surface in the same visit. Multiple repairs in a single call-out are significantly more economical than separate visits.
Access — repairs that require moving furniture, working in awkward positions or dealing with unusual access take longer and may cost slightly more.
Location — our primary coverage area is the South East. Travel outside this area may incur a supplementary travel charge for residential clients, though commercial projects are quoted on a project basis.
